Our Ear Flap Toques are inspired by the traditional hats worn in the Peruvian Andes, the ancestral home of the Alpaca.
They are also worn by the peoples of the Himalayas giving rise to the name Sherpa Hats.
Alpaca products are becoming more popular with outdoor sports enthusiasts who recognize that the lighter weight, wicking properties and better warmth provides more comfort, especially in colder weather.
The excellent breathability and wicking properties means you stay Warm not Wet !
Alpaca Fibre has a tensile strength greater than wool, giving it excellent durability.
It doesn't have the "itch factor" of some wools, is warmer than Merino wool.
It contains no grease, oil or lanolin making it hypoallergenic.
Our Toques are machine knit right here on Southern Vancouver Island.
Made of 70% Alpaca & 30% Nylon, these hats will keep you warm and hold their shape for years.
Colours and designs may vary.
